My Childcare Approach
Best Possible Start
I am committed to providing the absolute best possible start for your child as the early years are fundamental for their future. I am a mother to a kind and well-rounded five-year-old girl. As well as being the best and most rewarding experience of my life so far, being a mother has taught me many key skills in bringing up children. It has also given me knowledge of safe sleeping practices, safety around the house and medical care and the importance of routine in the home.
Care and Nurture
As a mother, I understand how daunting it feels to leave your child and to entrust them to someone else. I am committed to providing the absolute best possible start for your child. This means enabling open communication and creating a warm, secure setting where you, and your child, always feel informed, respected, well cared for and happy.
Learning through Play
I take a Montessori approach because children learn through exploration and engaging in their interests. I follow Development Matters, the Early Learning Framework to aid activity planning, to help your child make progress. I encourage your child's next steps in all of the seven key areas of learning, with activities for each set up for your child to enjoy. I hope that within Little Star's learning environment your child will discover their life-long passions and flourish.

Safe Environment
A secure and cosy child-proofed home-from-home environment with a dedicated playroom and large garden
Engaging Activities
I have an abundance of resources to set up fun activities for your child to explore and learn through. I set up daily activities tailored to your child's specific interests. We will explore the outdoors and enjoy cooking activities. I am happy to take your child on local outings, to playgroups and a variety of classes
Nutritious Meals
I can provide tasty, healthy and balanced meals for your child if required. I cater for all allergy and dietary requirements. Meal times are a lovely time of day where we explore new foods, develop healthy eating habits as well as a lifelong appreciation of good food
Daily Updates
I believe good communication and keeping you informed is key to your child's well-being and personal development. I will enjoy sharing daily highlights and photos with you of the fun activities we have been doing
Flexible Scheduling
I will do what I can to accommodate your family's needs and make my setting a continuation of their home setting, following the same routines. I am available mainly during term time but can be flexible in looking after your child during some of the school holidays. I may be able to collect and drop off your child if needed
Personal Care
Care and nurture are fundamental to young children and every child is unique. My approach to personal care is centred on meeting each child's individual needs and ensuring their emotional well-being through forming a strong bond. I will follow important, established, home nap time routines with a comfortable, cosy cot available
